Sec.002 — Why this exists
Moving money is broken, and everyone just accepts it.
These are the real global averages people pay today. Not marketing figures — World Bank data, Q3 2025.

The global average for money transfer operators like Western Union.
What crypto on-ramps quietly charge — often hidden inside the exchange rate.

They receive
Comparison rates: World Bank Remittance Prices Worldwide, Q3 2025 (bank and money-transfer-operator global averages). Vayoma's fee varies by corridor. The exact fee is always shown before you confirm.
Sec.006 — The honest part
Everyone else hides the fee in the rate.
Sending $1,000 to Nigeria. Same money, same day — here's what each one actually costs you.
| Provider | Fee | They receive | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| ✓ Vayoma | 2.5% | $975.00 | best rate |
| ✗ MoonPay | ~4.5% | $955.00 | −$20.00 |
| ✗ Western Union | ~5.5% | $945.00 | −$30.00 |
| ✗ Traditional bank | ~15% | $850.00 | −$125.00 |
Comparison rates: World Bank Remittance Prices Worldwide (bank and money-transfer-operator averages, Q3 2025) and providers' published pricing, July 2026. Vayoma's fee varies by corridor — from 1% on major routes. We always show the exact fee before you confirm.
Sec.006b — Radical transparency
We publish our own margin. Live.
No remittance company on earth shows you what it keeps. We put ours on a public API — our fee, our rail cost, our margin, and cited competitor benchmarks. No key, no signup. And when someone beats us on a route, the API says so.
World Bank reference amount ($200), send fee only. Every benchmark in the API carries provenance and an as-of date. Our fee rounds up, competitor fees round down — published savings can only be understated, never inflated.

Where a competitor is cheaper, we publish it: Xoom’s subsidised US→PH, US→MX and US→IN rates and Remitly’s US→BR promotion currently beat us, and those corridors return negative savings with "competitorAlwaysCheaper": true. Prices measured 26 Jul 2026. Endpoints: /benchmarks · /compare · /index — a remittance-cost index across 71 corridors.
Sec.007 — Getting started
Three steps. About two minutes.
Open your account
Email and a photo of your ID. No branch, no paperwork, no waiting for a letter in the post.
Add money
Bank transfer, card, or crypto. Your balance is held in dollars, so it doesn't melt when your local currency does.
Send it, spend it, grow it
Send worldwide, tap to pay anywhere Mastercard works, or earn on what's sitting still.
Sec.008 — Idle money
Your balance shouldn't just sit there.
A dollar balance that earns while you're not using it. No lock-ups, no notice period — move it the moment you need it.
- Withdraw any time — nothing is locked
- You choose whether to opt in. It's off by default
- Rates are variable and shown live, never promised
Sec.009 — Custody
We can't freeze what we don't hold.
Most apps hold your money and can freeze it. Vayoma is built the other way round — your keys are generated and stored on your own device.
- Self-custody by default — not an advanced setting
- Encrypted recovery, so a lost phone isn't a lost balance
- Regulated partners handle the money legs, under their licences
Sec.010 — The card
Three cards. Pick the one that fits.
Every tier spends from the same dollar balance, anywhere Mastercard is accepted. No credit check, no minimum balance, cancel whenever.
- Virtual card, issued instantly
- Spend in 210 countries
- 2% currency conversion
- 2 free ATM withdrawals a month
- Physical card — $9 one-time

Sec.011 — Reach
Built for the corridors that actually matter.
The routes where the old system charges the most and delivers the least.
Sec.011b — Every country
Find yours. See the exact fee.
All 249 countries and territories, what works in each one, and what it costs. No asterisk, no “contact us”.

| Loading live coverage… | |||||
Live from app.vayoma.xyz/v1/coverage — the same API the app uses, so this table can never disagree with what you are actually charged. Live means working today. Soon means built and tested, waiting on a partner credential. No means we will not serve it — four comprehensive-sanctions jurisdictions and eight uninhabited territories, named rather than hidden.
Sec.012 — Questions
The things people actually ask.
How do you make money if you're this cheap?
Our wholesale cost is a fraction of a percent, because we plug directly into the settlement layer instead of reselling someone else's app. We charge from 1%, show it openly, and still make a healthy margin. The old players charge 5–15% because nobody made them explain why.
Is my money safe?
Your keys are generated and held on your device — we can't move or freeze your balance. The regulated money legs (card issuing, bank payouts) run through licensed partners under their licences. Vayoma is a technology company, not a bank, and digital assets are not government-insured.
What does it actually cost?
From 1% on major corridors, up to 2.5% on routes where the local payout costs more. Card spending is free; currency conversion on the card is 2%. There's no monthly fee and no minimum balance. The exact fee always appears before you confirm — never hidden in the exchange rate.
How fast does money arrive?
Most transfers settle in under a minute. Local payout rails — M-Pesa, Pix, SPEI, UPI, InstaPay — deliver in seconds once the transfer clears. Bank transfers in slower corridors can take a few hours.
Which countries can I send to?
237 of the world's 249 countries and territories. Sending, receiving, holding and swapping run on public blockchain rails, which have no borders — so they work everywhere except twelve places. Local cash-out to a bank or mobile-money wallet is built for 185 of them; everywhere else you receive to your own wallet and spend with the card.
We cannot serve Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria — comprehensive sanctions programs, and we apply them to every service including self-custody. The other eight are uninhabited territories with no permanent population. We name them rather than quietly rounding our number up.
Can I get a card in my country?
Card acceptance and card issuing are two different numbers, and most fintechs blur them. A Mastercard is accepted in about 210 countries. Issuing one to a resident of a country requires a licensed issuer permitted to serve that country — and nobody on earth issues to residents of 200 countries.
We publish our real issuing list at app.vayoma.xyz/v1/coverage and it grows as each issuer onboards us. If your country isn't on it yet, the app will tell you plainly instead of taking your details and going quiet. Sending, receiving, holding and swapping already work in 237 countries regardless — those run on public blockchains, which have no borders.
What does it cost in my country?
Every country sits in one of three published price bands: 1.00% where subsidised competitors already price below cost, 1.50% in developed corridors, and 2.50% where the incumbent charges 5.5–15%. Receiving money is always free. The full per-country table is public at app.vayoma.xyz/v1/coverage — the same endpoint this page reads from, so our marketing cannot drift from our pricing.
Do I need to understand crypto to use this?
No. Your balance is in dollars, you send dollars, and the recipient gets their local currency. Stablecoin rails run underneath because they're faster and cheaper than correspondent banking — but you never have to think about it.
